Volume Booster
Volume booster for audio files
Make a quiet recording, voice memo or song louder. The volume is normalized and raised by 6 dB to start with, and a limiter keeps the loudest moments from distorting; bass, 8D and reverse are here too.
Your files are not uploaded to any server, all processing happens in your browser. Remember to save your files to your device after processing. MP3 and WAV are edited without re-encoding, so they keep their original quality.
How it works
- Drop an audio file into the box above.
- Move the Volume slider; keep Normalize on to start from the loudest clean level.
- Press Preview 10 seconds to hear it from the playhead.
- Press Apply and save, then download the louder file.
Frequently asked questions
Will boosting the volume distort the audio?
A limiter turns down only the loudest moments so nothing clips. Large boosts (above about +12 dB) squash the dynamics and can sound flat, so preview before saving.
What does Normalize do?
It raises or lowers the whole file so its loudest peak sits at −1 dB, the loudest it can be without any limiting. The volume slider then adds or removes level from there.
Can I make audio quieter?
Yes. Turn Normalize off and move the slider below 0 dB.
Is my file uploaded?
No. All processing happens in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
