Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the BPM?
For songs with a steady beat the tempo is usually exact to within a fraction of a BPM. Some songs can be read as half or double time, so both are shown.
What is the Camelot code?
It is the DJ notation for musical keys on the Camelot wheel. Songs with the same or neighboring codes (for example 8A, 8B, 7A and 9A) mix together harmonically.
Why is the key different from another app?
Songs that change key, use modes or have little harmony can be read differently. A relative key (for example A minor and C major) shares the same notes, so tools often confuse the two.
Is my song uploaded?
No. The analysis runs in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
