How do I convert a video to MP3 without uploading it?
Updated:
Open AudioCutter’s Video to MP3 converter, drop the video file, keep MP3 selected and press Extract audio. Your browser converts the file on your own device, so the video is never uploaded, and the MP3 is ready in seconds.
What are the steps?
- Save the video on your phone or computer first: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and M4V files work.
- Open the Video to MP3 converter and drop the file into the box, or tap the box to choose it.
- MP3 is already selected at 192 kbps. Choose 320 kbps to keep more detail, or 128 kbps for a smaller file.
- Press Extract audio and wait a few seconds while your browser converts the video.
- Listen to the MP3, then download it.
Does converting a video to MP3 lower the sound quality?
The sound is encoded again as MP3, but at 192 kbps or more most people hear no difference. To keep the original sound untouched, use the Audio Extractor: it copies the audio track without re-encoding whenever the format allows.
Can I convert a YouTube or TikTok link?
No. AudioCutter works only with files on your device and never downloads anything from websites. Save or export the video first, for example from your phone’s gallery, then drop the file.
How do I keep only part of the audio?
After converting, continue in the Audio Trimmer: drag the handles around the part you want and download just that part.
