Your files are not uploaded to any server, all processing happens in your browser. Remember to save your files to your device after processing.

How it works

  1. Press Test my microphone and allow microphone access when your browser asks.
  2. Speak: the level meter and waveform move and the check turns green.
  3. Pick another microphone from the list if you have more than one.
  4. Record a 5-second test and play it back to hear how you sound.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my microphone not working?

Most often the browser is not allowed to use it, another microphone is selected, or it is muted. Allow access from the icon in the address bar, pick the right device and check its mute switch or system settings.

What level is good?

When you speak normally, the meter should mostly stay between −30 and −12 dB. If it reaches the red end the sound clips; if it barely moves, move closer or raise the input volume.

What does “Call processing” do?

It turns on the echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain that video calling apps use, so you can hear the difference.

Is anything recorded or uploaded?

Nothing is uploaded. The test recording stays in this page and is gone when you leave it.
