Frequently asked questions
Is my audio uploaded?
In the browser, no: the model runs on your device and the file never leaves it. In Fast mode (Pro) the audio is sent to Replicate in the US for separation. We don't keep it, and Replicate deletes it within 24 hours.
Is it really free?
Yes. Separating in your browser is free with no limit on the number of songs. The first run downloads the model, about 181 MB, and later runs use the saved copy.
How long does it take?
With a good graphics chip it is quick. Without one the work runs on the processor and can take several times the length of the song. Fast mode works the same on any device, phones too.
How long can the file be?
Up to 10 minutes per file either way; a longer file is separated from the start up to that point.
How much separation does Pro include?
The 7-day pass includes 2 hours of server separation in total and the 1-year license 10 hours. Each file counts at least 1 minute. The tool shows how many minutes you have left.
