How do I make a slowed and reverb song?

Updated:

Open Slowed + Reverb and drop the song. It starts at 0.8× speed with the pitch lowered like a record and a large reverb. Adjust the speed and reverb, preview 10 seconds and press Apply and save.

What are the steps?

  1. Open Slowed + Reverb and drop a song; the settings are already set.
  2. Adjust the speed: 0.75× to 0.85× is typical.
  3. Adjust the reverb amount: 25 to 45% sounds dreamy without drowning the vocals.
  4. Press Preview 10 seconds to hear it from the playhead.
  5. Press Apply and save, then download your slowed + reverb song.

What is slowed and reverb?

An edit style where a song plays slower and lower, like a record at the wrong speed, with lots of reverb for a dreamy, distant sound.

Which settings work best?

Most slowed + reverb edits use 0.75× to 0.85× speed and 25 to 45% reverb. Slower than 0.7× starts to sound muddy; try a preview before saving.

Can I slow it down without the deeper voice?

Yes. Use the Music Speed Changer: it keeps the original pitch while slowing the song. The Slowed + Reverb style lowers the pitch on purpose.

Can I make a sped-up or nightcore version?

Yes. Choose the Sped up or Nightcore style, or move the speed above 1×.

Can I make it on my phone?

Yes. It works in Safari and Chrome on phones, and the finished MP3 goes to your downloads, ready for a video editor.
